DEFINING CHRISTIAN

 WHO IS A CHRISTIAN?

Okay... So, I've decided to pick this up as a series, since this is one of the topics either not properly treated or we shy away from in most of our churches today.

And most popular and likely definition we should be bored of is... Christianity means "christ like"

But I dare ask... Christ like what gan sef? I mean none of "us" was and will ever be born without a physical intercourse of any kind by a virgin mother.

So "Christ Like" as in?

Have you discovered — Christianity in present times might be complicated, intimidating and implicating in most cases? 

Especially when you find yourself in the midst of men, who make things independently... They tend to look down at you as one who's lost and mentally locked to sold out RELIGION narrative.

Pause... As I'll remind you again that you go to church...probably doing all the paparazzi that comes with churchy things or born in a religious home, DOESN'T make you a CHRISTIAN! 

While on pause... I dare say that many out there are just "churchy fellows" cum religious bigots exhibiting their nuisance value wherever and however, which in turn is a torture to the person (essence) of CHRIST.

I've listened to the highs and lows of men questioning RELIGION and stupidly ranting against the genuine, peaceful REVOLUTIONARY MOVEMENT of CHRIST.

In anyway, since I discovered no man is capable of convincing every Tom, Jerry and Harry — the smart, gullible and inquisitive... I in most occasions, evade the mental torture with the word "LEAVE SPIRITUAL THINGS FOR SPIRITUAL PEOPLE"

Wow! That's long a pause. 

Now let's PLAY!

Basically, one of the best ways of getting answers in ones life is through the process of SELF EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT.

So when intentional questions are raised to checkmate our personality as a CHRISTIAN... We find our answers like this... 

 

• First, those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please GOD.

How do you see the above statement? 

If I were you, that's an assertion I can still question. Hmm?

In secular terms, you'll agree that for every question, there's a narrative to backup an ideology. And since there's no "Mr Know It All" in existence living in Campton or Capetown, the validity of what is TRUTH can be said to be null and void.

So the ideology here will be found in a conversation between a certain Samaritan Woman and a Jew (study on the rift between the Jews and Samaritans will help your understanding here). 

The Samaritan woman in a brewing conversation gave a certain narration that 

"Samaritans should have nothing to do with stiff necked Jews"

... and the Jew in question happened to be CHRIST the orchestrator who previously teased for water.

The woman according to narrations insists:

"Our fathers worshipped on this mountain

;and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship" In response, CHRIST said: 

 "Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father... But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in SPIRIT and in TRUTH: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM. God is a SPIRIT: and they that worship him must worship him in SPIRIT and in TRUTH".

So, for confusionists who are still boxed in the orthodox way of worship in Jerusalem, attaining the height of the "Jerusalem Patriot" tag and all sort titles y'all wanna die for. 

May I remind you again, that this things are archaic, pure wastes and ordinary ceremonial ordinances you hold in high esteem.

You are nothing, but a BLAST FROM THE PAST! Finding psuedo in the things that are long gone and none beneficial to the body of CHRIST.

I pass...

Staying in spiritual concept, a CHRISTIAN however, cannot be in the realm of the flesh but in the realm of the SPIRIT, if indeed the SPIRIT of GOD lives in him/her.

Now, if anyone does not have the SPIRIT OF CHRIST , they do not belong to CHRIST. Not a Christian

"For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of GOD".

A CHRISTIAN lives by the SPIRIT. 

At this point, the SPIRIT — OF GOD himself must testify with your spirit — your being (bringing to your consciousness) whether you are God’s children or not. 

If I were you, I'll ask again... You've just defined a CHRISTIAN... But. 

WHAT IS THE LIFESTYLE OF A CHRISTIAN?

I'll demand for practical terms and not just theory.

So, since this is a through series, no lie that so many CHRISTIANS out there are totally CONFUSED!

And many more are being dragged into the confusion of the RELIGION.

If in school, we're made to know and understand the DEFINITION of a particular subject before furthering deeper.

Isn't it myopic to blindly subject to or follow a particular religion one is not CONVINCED rather confused and not properly tutored... Especially when questions are waved off and clarity is null and void.

In the end, we carry a micro burden of misconceptions, confusions and innacurate doctrine...as we go about exhibiting our nuisance value to unsullied men of the world... Who in turn sees us as jokers.

Interesting thing is —most popular and likely definition I'M critically bored of is when I hear... Christianity means "christ like"

That's so shallow and reveals how porous the knowledge of our so called rabbi's is.

It's like when asked what is Science... And you answer " Science is Tech" 

Or asked what is a NOUN and your best response is... "A noun is a person"
